THE BROCKVILLE AND DISTRICT HOSPITAL FOUNDATION EXCEEDED THEIR $250,000 GOAL BY RAISING OVER $800,000 DURING THE RIDE FOR MRI EVENT

May 30, 2022: The Brockville and District Hospital Foundation (BDHF) is astounded by the overwhelming support for the Ride the River 2022/Ride for the MRI event that far surpassed the goal with the final tally of funds raised sitting at over $800,000!

Once again, the BDHF is humbled by the generosity of our community and very generous donors who contributed to this unprecedented success.

It is hard to believe that just three years ago, in December 2019, Ride the River was just an idea brought forward by the now event co-chairs, Bob and Jane Clark, that a cycling fundraiser might be a great fit for the BDHF.

The BDHF would like to acknowledge everyone who contributed to the success of Ride for the MRI, all volunteers, Ride the River organizing committee members, and the Foundation team. We sincerely appreciate everyone’s hard work and time.

Thanks to Scott MacCrimmon and everyone at ParkStor for hosting and supporting this event.

Finally, our heartfelt thanks to all of our sponsors, riders, donors, and most importantly our anonymous donor who truly allowed us to realize this outstanding achievement by matching all donations.

Husband and wife team, Dr. Kevin Tyler, Radiologist, Brockville General Hospital and Dr. Melissa Tyler, Family Physician with the Upper Canada Family Health team are all smiles as they hit the road in support of the Ride for the MRI event.
