BROCKVILLE GENERAL HOSPITAL STAFF COULDN’T HELP BUT SMILE

The Joyce Group (Tim Hortons Brockville) certainly knows how to bring a smile to the staff at Brockville General Hospital (BGH). Staff who work in BGH’s Medical-Surgical Program, and the Intensive Care Unit, are appreciative of the fundraising efforts of The Joyce Group for the Smile Cookie campaign held at their five Brockville Tim Hortons locations.

With a little help from the Brockville & District Hospital Foundation, and its volunteers, Smile Cookies were also sold at BGH in the Brockville General Volunteer Association’s Café and in BGH’s Cafeteria.  All-in-all, Tim Hortons was able to raise an astounding $22,670.00!

The donated funds will go towards purchasing two blanket warmers for BGH’s Medical-Surgical Program and the Intensive Care Unit. Blanket warmers are very beneficial for a patient immediately following a procedure. As well, a heated blanket can also reduce anxiety in a patient and provides comfort.
