Brockville, ON – September 28, 2023 – This October, the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation is turning pink for a cause close to the heart – breast cancer detection and care. The launch of the "Go Pink" month marks a spirited effort to raise awareness and funds for a new mammography unit at Brockville General Hospital (BGH). We invite you to join us in this impactful initiative, as your support and curiosity can make a significant difference in the fight against breast cancer.

Go Pink Kick Off BBQ – September 30th at Home Hardware in Brockville
Join us for a sizzling start to the "Go Pink" month at the Go Pink Kick Off BBQ on September 30th at Home Hardware in Brockville. From 11 am to 2 pm, for just $5, you can indulge in a mouthwatering hamburger or hot dog, a refreshing drink, and your choice of popcorn or chips. Your appetite for a good cause has never been more satisfying!

Special Feature: New Transport Trailer On-Site for Photos
In addition to the BBQ on Saturday, we are thrilled to announce that our new transport trailer, showcasing the Your Health Your Hospital campaign, will be on-site for photo opportunities. This transport will remain at Home Hardware for the month of October. Capture the spirit of community and support by taking photos with our eye-catching trailer. Share your pictures on social media using #GoPinkBDHF to spread the word and encourage others to join us in making a positive impact.

We are committed to supporting Brockville General Hospital as they modernize community care, including expanding with MRI services. Thanks to the very generous community we live in, the Your Health Your Hospital MRI/Equipment Campaign has raised $10 million towards our goal of $12.5 million! Pink Cup Volleyball Tournament – Spike Up the Excitement on October 1st
Mark your calendars for the Pink Cup Volleyball Tournament at Hardy Park in Brockville on October 1st, from 10 am to 5 pm. We're spiking up the excitement with teams competing for a fantastic cause – supporting the mammography machine at Brockville General Hospital. Registration is $25 per person, with a minimum of 6 players per team. Get your team together for a day of spirited competition, camaraderie, and making a difference in breast cancer care.
