On July 15, the Brockville General Hospital Foundation had the pleasure of hosting a heartwarming cheque presentation that showcased the spirit of community service. A group of third-year Beavers from the White Tails pack made their way to the hospital to present a cheque for $349, a generous contribution from their recent service project.
The Beavers undertook a special project this year to earn their prestigious North Star Award. They created and sold hot chocolate mixes and channeled their entrepreneurial efforts into a cause that holds significant personal meaning for them. Their hard work resulted in a generous donation to the 31st Annual Palliative Care Golf Tournament, an event dedicated to supporting our palliative care services.
The decision to raise money for the palliative care services was particularly meaningful for the White Tails, as they had recently experienced the loss of a beloved Beaver Scouter who received exemplary care from our palliative care team. The funds raised by the Beavers will go directly towards supporting the palliative care services at Brockville General Hospital and ensures that patients and families continue to receive the compassionate care they deserve.
Thank you to the Beavers and everyone who supported their project. Your contributions are making a real difference in the lives of those in our community.
