After an incredible 40-year run, the 30-Hour Telethon for Palliative Care Services has become a cherished part of our community. Now, the Brockville & District Hospital Foundation is excited to announce its revival in a new form—the Palliative Care Telethon, set to debut on February 22, 2025 on MOVE 104.9 from 9:00am – 5:00 pm.
The original telethon, which concluded in February 2023, raised over $5 million to support Brockville General Hospital’s Palliative Care Outreach Services. This legacy of generosity and community spirit will continue through the re imagined event, which promises to bring a fresh, exciting format while maintaining the heart of what made the original telethon so special.
A New Chapter in Supporting Compassionate Care
The Palliative Care Telethon will continue its vital mission: raising funds to provide compassionate end-of-life care to families in our community. Thanks to the generosity of local businesses, individuals, and supporters like you, the funds raised during the telethon will go directly to Brockville General Hospital’s Palliative Care Outreach Program — ensuring that every dollar stays in our community.

Returning Committee Members
We are thrilled to announce that several key members of the original telethon committee are returning to help with the Palliative Care Telethon this year. Their dedication, experience, and commitment to the cause will ensure the continued success of this community event. How You Can Support Throughout February
In addition to tuning in to the live event on February 22, there are several ways you can show your support throughout the month of February:
LUNA Dinner Coupons – Thanks to the generous donation from LUNA Pizzeria and Restaurant, you can purchase $10 dinner coupons for a spaghetti or lasagna meal, available for dine-in or take-out only. Fishbowl Program – Look for fishbowls at participating local businesses across the community, where you can make a donation to support the Palliative Care Telethon. Every contribution makes a difference!
Stars Campaign – For just $2, you can purchase a star at participating locations or online HERE. Show your support and leave a lasting mark for this important cause.
5050 Raffle – The 5050 Raffle offers you the chance to win big while supporting palliative care! Tickets are 3 for $5 or 20 for $20. Visit us inside the main entrance of Brockville General Hospital on February 4-6, 11-13, or 18-20 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM to purchase your tickets in person. Mark Your Calendars!
The Palliative Care Telethon will air live on MOVE 104.9 starting at 9:00am on February 22, 2025.
We encourage the community to tune in, participate in fundraising activities, and contribute to this meaningful cause.
Volunteers will be located at the Brockville Arts Centre from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm the day of the event to accept in-person donations.
