November 17, 2022: Last year, Brockville General Hospital performed nearly 8,000 surgeries that saved lives, improved the quality of life, and prevented further problems for the people of this area. The best lighting environment enhances a surgeon’s ability to do their job. Knowing that our operating rooms have the best fundamental pieces of equipment makes better patient care possible. Proper lighting is crucial so that every doctor who is operating can see the finest and most minute details of their delicate work.
Brockville General Hospital’s operating room lights are in need of replacing, and the Brockville & District Hospital Foundation is raising the needed funds to purchase new surgical lights. To assist in raising these funds, the Foundation recently mailed out over 2,600 annual appeal letters to its donor base and supporters. Anyone wishing to support the Annual Appeal can also donate on-line at www.bdhfoundation.com, or by calling in with a credit card number to the Foundation’s direct line at 613-345-4478.
